Hi everyone, I'm up on the blog today for an Art Anthology design team project. I'm always finding wonderful things at the dollar store and they can always be used in my art. Today I am altering some of there little notebooks or journals. These are great to send to someone for happy mail or to include in a RAK.
I have a video below showing my creative process on one of the notebooks. These literally only take about 30 to 45 minutes to alter and customize them.
Using simple mixed media techniques provide that interesting texture and subtle changes to the background.
The receiver will now have a one of a kind little notebook that you have created with love. I hope yu grab yourself some of these sweet little journals and give this altering process a try. Have a spectacular day !
Hi everyone... Toni here with a new design team layout for ReneaBouquets. The store is plump full of gorgeous items to make creating and decorating your projects a breeze. Pictured above is one of the brand new Beautiful Board Music Note Butterflys. It's exquisite !
Playing off the colors in my photo I knew I wanted this layout to be frilly, so I decided to do some paper ruffles, also enhanced with ReneaBouquets Ivory Tulle.
I gave the beautiful board a coat of crackle varnish and then antiqued it with Green Patina and Brushed Corduroy DI.
The ReneaBouquet flowers were blinged up with the No Hole Microbeads in Champagne and Teal. A full list of products and their websites will be below.
I hope you were inspired and for your pleasure I have also included a step by step video below.
Hi everyone, it's my turn for a ReneaBouquets design team project and I decided to create a shaker embroidery hoop. Filled with pretties from ReneaBouquets store.
Lots of Beautiful Board from the store and I left it in its beautiful natural state.
The butterfly inside the shaker is a brand new style called Musical Note Butterfly and it's just gorgeous.
With the addition of the pretty flowers with a bit of microbeads sprinkled on top and of course one of the exquisite butterflies from the store as well. Hope you enjoyed. For your pleasure I have also included a step by step video. Happy crafting !

Hi everyone, I'm up on the blog today with a design team project for Art Anthology. Recently purchased a frame at the dollar store and it was screaming to be altered.
Lots of layers, lots of texture and a color scheme that is not usual for me. But it definitely has that grunge appeal that I so adore.
I love taking a simple item and making it into an unexpected piece. I started off by adding lace to the foundation to provide interesting textures, then layered several different shades of inks and sprays.
Utilized some of my metal pieces, chipboard and ideaology stash. I so enjoyed making this messy project. I hope you were inspired. And for your enjoyment I have included a process video below. I appreciate your stopping by. Wishing you a month filled with creative wonder !
Happy spring everyone... hope you are having a wonderful month. Today I have a design team project for ReneaBouquets and I have created a spring time garden purse.
Inspired by ReneaBouquets moodboard this month I used several ReneaBouquet products.
Added some chunky glitters and microbeads to the flowers for added texture and interest.
Ideaology Baseboard Doll was colored a bit with water base pens, and of course ReneaBouquet butterflies always complete a project perfectly. For a list of products used check out this blogpost HERE.
Hope this brought a little bit of "springtime" into your creative life. And for your pleasure I have also included a process video for your viewing. Have a spectacular month.
Hi everyone, today I have a special project to share with you. It's my design team project for Art Anthology. Dedicated to a wonderful friend for many many years that I lost almost 2 years ago. The image on the front of this tag is from the very last birthday card she gave me. On the back of this tag I adhered her personal note to me at the time. I think this is perfect place to hold on to this keepsake. Hope you enjoy my project.
I prepped this wooden tag with white gesso and then collaged book pages as well as scrapbook paper on the top. Then I used a stencil with black modeling paste for some added texture.
For more vintage goodness I rusted up this metal heart as well as added Ideaology Transparent Wings, & added florals.
Rust and Patina Texture paste was also added to the corners of the tag for a yummy texture.
I sprayed my seam binding to match my project and added some rusty wire to wrap around the entire tag. I hope you enjoyed. For your pleasure here is a video of my creative process... xoxo Toni
Hi everyone, Toni here with a new ReneaBouquets design team project. Today I have for you a spring filled layout with lots of ReneaBouquets products.
To start off with I wanted dimension on my page so with a duplicate sheet of the sunflower paper I fussy cut some of the flowers, adhered on chipboard, distressed the edges and then using 3D foam squares applied to the coordinating flower. (You can watch my process in the video below). Then to enhance those pretty flowers I used Black Microbeads from ReneaBouquets store.
I used Black Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel on my Beautiful Board "Sweet As Honey". The gorgeous Queen Bees with glass wings are made lovingly in ReneaBouquets store.
Beautiful Board is just the perfect accents to tuck away to embellish your projects, and what can I say about the mulberry flowers, but they are just perfect.
Thank you for stopping by and paying us a visit. For your pleasure I do have a process video below. I would love you to subscribe to my channel as well as follow me on my social networks. Have a wonderful day and do some creating.
Hi everyone, today I'm playing with some of the new products from Art Anthology and my design team project is this mixed media canvas which I began the textured foundation with Crackle Paste. Then using a stencil I applied the gel based paints from AA using a frosting technique... You can view this in the video below.
Once the paints were dry I then fussy cut them out and sprayed them with Colorations Spray in Raider (black) over the entire flowers. The dimensional paints work as a resist so it only colors the background of the flowers. Flowers are then adhered to the canvas and finished off with a dry brushing of gold for highlights.
Finnabair Melange Pebbles are painted with gold and applied for texture and interest to the canvas and my title was used from Finnabair's Art Cafe Sentiments. For your pleasure I have included a YOUTUBE video below of my creative process. Have a wonderful day and thank you for stopping by.

Hi everyone, Toni here with a new design team project for ReneaBouquets featuring, of course, ReneaBouquets yummy items. This month I am involved in a Shaker Card Swap with ReneaBouquets and I decided to use the G45 Imagine paper collection that you can order from the store. The addition of the Beautiful Board Butterfly Corner to the lady's face worked perfectly. A little bit of fussy cutting of the paper roses and an Ideaology Hitch on the side with more items from ReneaBouquets store attached.
The inside of the card opens to the shaker card full of goodies by ReneaBouquets as well. (All supplies will be listed below in the video information below.) A side pocket was created to hold a tag with a little note to my swap partner.
The fun thing about swaps is to send out goodies to our creative swap partners, The new Beautiful Board Loaded Card,Tag or Frame Chipboard Kit is perfect because it has a little pocket to hold goodies. Pictured to the right of the frame kit are the new Sweetheart ATC's and I used them to wrap some pretty laces for my partner.
Altered some cute little clothespins and added some flowers and butterflies from the store as well.
Some stickpins I created fit perfectly in the little pocket. Hope you take a moment to view my video below which will show you how I decorated this frame kit as well as more information regarding the other items I created for my swap partner. Wishing you a day filled with joy and peace. xoxo Toni
Hi everyone, today I have for you a design team project for ReneaBouquets and I decided to alter one of Prima's new teapot frames. I started by dry brushing the teapot with white gesso and then highlighting some of the areas with silver metallic EP.
For the inside of the teapot I placed one of ReneaBouquets Beautiful Board clock faces and used G45 Imagine paper line to back it. Coffee stained a doily tucked inside and embellished with some of ReneaBouquets gorgeous butterflies and flowers. The silver spoon and teacup on the bottom are part of ReneaBouquets Princess Trinket line.
On the top of the teapot I placed ReneaBouquets Printed Beautiful Board "Tea With Me". It's so easy to create a shabby piece with all of ReneaBouquet items in the store HERE.
For your pleasure I have created a process video below.... so grab a cup of tea and sit back and enjoy ! Supplies used from ReneaBouquets store are listed in the video information below. xoxo

Hi everyone, I have a DT project for Art Anthology today and decided to put these very old flowers to good use. I saturated them first with Art Basics Sculture Medium and allowed to dry overnight and then started spraying them with AA's beautiful Coloration Sprays.
I die cut some butterflys out of grungpaper and also acetate to provide dimension on the wings. The acetate wings were then painted with AA's Sorbet paints for a pretty translucent glitter look.
The frame was inexpensive one and I started texturing by running AA's Clear Coat Glass through a stencil and once dry I sprayed the entire surface with Colorations Spray Warm.
I hope you were inspired to try something a bit different. Grab those very old flowers and do something with them. For your pleasure I have included a process video below. Have a spectacular day !
Hi everyone.... hope you have taken a little time to get creative this month. Today I have for you a DT project for ReneaBouquets and I used her new Shaker Box... OMG... I think I'm addicted to these. They are so much fun and the ideas on how to use them are endless...
The card was really pretty simple but when the shaker box was added it provided that little UMPH that the card needed.
This is a photo of the inside which again was kept very minimal but ReneaBouquets beautiful board really allows you to give that sweet shabby chic look.
This was such a fun card to make, hope you get your hands on some of these shaker boxes, the store has small and large... So much fun. For your enjoyment I have included a process video below so you can watch my creative process.... xoxo Toni
