"Delight In The Everyday Moments" Mixed Media Layout for Reneabouquets

Hi everyone, hope you are having a wonderful month. Today's post is a mixed media layout filled with textures, dimension and layering. Let's get started. 

My layout is a 12x12 which began with just white cardstock and I did a lot of stamping using archival ink so it will not react with liquids. I then applied through a pretty flowered stencil some Paper Texture Paste and allowed it to dry. Once dry I then did some water coloring with Lindys "Grab A Guy Gold". Also splattered some black gesso here and there. On the left side of the layout you will see that I used Reneabouquets Garden Bouquet Lace-2" Wide White. It is tucked nicely under all the florals. In the right hand corner you will also see Printed Beautiful Board Large Sweet Garden Butterfly Fairy With Glass Wings Set and tucked under the florals is the Beautiful Board Spring Butterfly Laser Cut Chipboard Set of 3 which I painted white. 

Beautiful Board Small Feathers Set of 3 Laser Cut Chipboard as well as Beautiful Board Large Quilling Flourish Set of 4 Laser Cut Chipboard were painted white and added to the layout. For some fun texture I added some Art Stones and sprinkled Reneabouquets Hand Tinted Buttercream Gawdie Girl Chunky Glitter Glass. 

Florals that were used are Mini Soft Ivory Roses and Leaves Mulberry Paper Flower Set, Honey Roses And Leaves Mulberry Paper Flowers and White Roses, Gardenias & Leaves Mulberry Flowers.  The pretty little daisies you see are Printed Beautiful Board Large Tuck It In Sweet Daisy Laser Cut Chipboard. 

And new to the store are these sweet tiny butterflies in several colors, I used Butterfly Kisses Fairy Dust Gold Single Side Printed Butterflies and  also in Silver. Some of the butterflies I attached silver wire and have them hovering over the layout. In between the butterflies I applied some more bling to finish off the project with Gawdie Girl Diamond Chunky German Glitter Glass. I hope you were inspired and enjoyed this layout. xoxo Toni

"Me & My Big Brother" Mixed Media Layout

 Hi everyone, hope you are enjoying your summertime... a big difference from last year. I'm in California and we are already experiencing triple digits !! Today I have for you a fun beach layout with lots of textures and mixed media applications. 

I added craft sand with clear crackle texture paste for some fun texture and dimension. The beautiful board pieces I used Beautiful Board Chunky Chain Link Frame Set of 2 Laser Cut Chipboard Frames which I added crackle medium and then stained with Distress Ink in Walnut Stain. 

One of our newest pieces to the store is this delightful Beautiful Word Large Me & My Big Brother Laser Cut Chipboard which I also used crackle medium on and sprayed it with Lindys Afternoon Delight Denim and DI Frayed Burlap. The Beautiful Board Starfish With Accents goes perfect with this layout as the Beautiful Board Large Nautical Anchor. Both were treated with the same crackle medium and sprayed and inked like the pieces above. 

The sweet  Beautiful Board Beautiful Bits-Seashells Laser Cut Chipboard are perfect for tucking in and around your photos. The florals I used are Navy Blue Roses and Leaves Mulberry, Mini Dusty Blue Mulberry.  To finish off the layout I also topped off some of my fussy cutting pieces with the gorgeous Gawdie Girl Diamond Fine German Glitter Glass . Altered Frame for Reneabouquets Design Team

 Hi everyone, hope you are having a wonderful month. Today I have a frame I picked up at the Dollar Store and altered it to suit one of my favorite photos of my little furry boy Bubba. This is such an easy project how you can take something inexpensive and customize it for yourself. 

I did a bit of stamping on the cardstock that I used with a honeycomb stamp. Stamped it here and there around the photo. The cardstock I used is from Country Craft Creations "Bee House", a simply gorgeous collection of papers. I fussy cut some of the flowers to place around the left side of the frame to build my foundation. The florals I used are the Mini Old Gold Mulberry Paper Roses and Leaves, Caramel And Sugar Roses, Gardenia and Leaves and the Honey Roses and Leaves Mulberry Paper Flowers. 

I used some BRAND NEW items from the store on this frame, first up I used Printed Beautiful Board Small Sugar Bee Hive Laser Cut Chipboard, above the corner of the photo is the Beautiful Board Small Sugar Bee Corners Laser Cut Chipboard. The gorgeous bee I used is our Sugar Bees Premium Paper Glitter Glass Bee. I also added the Beautiful Board Medium Bee Hive Elements Laser Cut Chipboard and I cut it into pieces and added 3 layers of UTEE embossing powder to it for the illusion of honey. 

Here is a close up of that pretty sugar bee. 

Then from the trinket department in the store I had to use Reneabouquets Queen Bee Clock Charms Trinket Pack. For the centers of the flowers I dropped beads of hot glue into the middle of some microbeads, wait for them to dry and then place them in the middle of the flowers. The microbeads used are No Hole Old Gold Glass Microbeads and also No Hole Pearl Glass Microbeads .

"Bon Appetit" Mixed Media Layout for Reneabouquets Design Team

 Hi everyone and hope you are all having a wonderful month. Today I have a layout I created with layers, dimension, textures and lots of Reneabouquets items. Let's get started. 

The paper collection I used is Mintay "Homemade" and I did some fussy cutting of some of the images to place on dimensional foam. Beautiful Words Medium Bon Appetit Laser Cut Chipboard was the perfect title for this layout. I colored it with some Distressed Inks and added a coat of Rock Candy Crackle Paint. Then applied some Art Alchemy Wax in White Pearl to bring forth the cracks from the paint. The hearts I used, Beautiful Board Victorian Heart Doilies Laser Cut Chipboard Set, I applied the same mediums to them as well. I cut heart shapes out of the cardstock to have a different color cardstock peeking through the beautiful board. Down towards the bottom I added one of RB trinkets which is the Silver Spoons Trinket Pack. In the very center of the layout I used Beautiful Board Medium Romantic Heart Pattern Laser Cut Chipboard. 

The sweet tiny butterflies used here are the Butterfly Kisses Delicate Beauty Single Side Printed Butterflies. The florals I used from RB store are the Itty Bitty Blossoms and Leaves Timeless Blue, Mini Dusty Blue & Ivory Mulberry Paper Roses, and the Antique Linen Roses. Tucked inside the florals are the Beautiful Board Bits Skeleton Leaf Laser Cut Chipboard and Beautiful Board Bits Rose Leaf Laser Cut Chipboard. And what would my layout be without adding a bit of sparkle to the layout with Gawdie Girl Diamond Fine German Glitter, which looks just like sugar on this layout. "Love Is The Thread That Binds Us" Accordion Mini Album/4D Purse

 Hi everyone, today my project for Reneabouquets Design Team is her 4D Purse Kit along with an accordion mini album. 

I started my project off using the Beautiful Board 4D Purse With Small Shelf Do It Yourself Laser Cut Chipboard Kit. The paper collection I chose was Stamperia "Threads" I cut the paper to the sizes needed to cover the purse and then I machine stitched around all the pieces. This kit is so easy to put together, you can also visit HERE to watch the assembly tutorial. I also have my process video below so you can watch me create this project. I did some fussy cutting of the paper collection and to enhance the cuttings I used Gawdie Girl Diamond Fine German Glitter Glass. The butterfly I used on the front of the purse are the Butterfly Kisses Cherry Blossom Single Side Printed Butterflies.

This 4D purse also comes with this sweet little shelf that allows you to decorate it. I decided to use the Beautiful Board Small Wire Dress Form Chipboard. The dress form comes with a two little clothes hangers so I attached them onto some metal hitches to the back of the shelf. Then using some Reneabouquets Trim-Ivory Pleated Tulle, I created a little skirt for the dress form. I then added some itsy bitsy buttons to a glass corked jar. Inside the purse comes to slots to hold different items and I created here a tag, stitched around it and decorated it with Beautiful Board Small Button Doll Laser Cut Chipboard. I also created a policy envelope to hold photos.

To go with this sweet purse I made an accordion mini album, you can watch me create this in the video below. To decorate the front and back covers of the album I used Beautiful Board Linoleum Elements Laser Cut Chipboard. I then applied some Beautiful Beads Sweetheart Candy Flatback Pearls randomly on the panels. The flowers I used on the purse and the mini album are Mini Whisper Pink Mulberry Paper Roses & Leaves Set, and the leaves are Beautiful Bits - Skeleton Leaf Laser Cut Chipboard. The front focal point on the mini album I used Beautiful Board Medium Follow Your Heart Doilies Chipboard and the icing on the cake is the White Pearl And Rhinestone Button Set Of 2. The butterfly used here is Butterfly Kisses Aurora Borealis Pink Single Side Printed Butterflies, 

Pictured here is the inside of the accordion mini album. Also pictured is the side of the purse which I created a dangle to hang and added several different charms, Shabby Sweet Scissors In Silver., thimble, pearls, spool of thread, bobbin etc. I hope you were able to gather some inspiration. Springtime Tag Swap

Hi all, can you believe how fast this year is flying by. I am involved in a Springtime Tag Swap @ Scrapbook.com. On the tag we were to use items from Reneabouquets store.  I decided to create for my partner a Shaker Tag. 

I created the tag out of chipboard so that it would be sturdy. I then covered it with Stamperia "House of Roses" paper collection. I then created my shaker filling it with many shaker items from Reneabouquets store. I used: Beautiful Board Beautiful Bits Tiny Hearts, Beautiful Board Beautiful Bits Tweet, No Hole Pink Glass Microbeads, Gawdie Girl Diamond Chunky German Glitter Glass, Hand Tinted Pale Pink Gawdie Girl Chunky Glitter Glass.  

 

The frame I used around the outside of the shaker is the Printed Beautiful Board Small Bird Nest Laser Cut Chipboard. On the top of the daisies I used Perfect Pearls in Lemon Chiffon

At the bottom of the tag I completed it with a tiny vial filled with Reneabouquets Itty Bitty Blossoms and Leaves Pink and White Mulberry Paper Flowers and then surrounded it with the Mini Pink Sorbet Mulberry Paper Roses & Leaves. Around the perimeter of the frame for the flowers I applied Perfect Pearls in Ballerina.

"Cute As A Bunny" Mixed Media Canvas

Hi everyone, today I have a little canvas I created for a new friend for a swap hosted by Reneabouquets. 

The background paper is from Stamperia "Provence" collection and then I covered it with beautiful lace from Reneabouquets store. The frame is a beautiful board piece from RB store as well and I embossed it. 

The little bunny and eggs are styrofoam and purchased at the Dollar store then covered with Wiltons Foil Candy Wrappers. The egg wrappers were stained with Alcohol Inks. The precious itty bitty flowers are from Reneabouquets. I finished the project off with tying an Ideology Token around the bunny's nect with jute. Wishing you a beautiful month of April.

"Bloom Where You Are Planted" for Reneabouquets

Hi everyone, today I have a new layout to share with you for Reneabouquets Design Team. Filled with some pretty springtime goodies from Reneabouquets store. Let's get started. I first stitched around the perimeter of my background paper for interest then I wanted to highlight the pathway in the photograph therefore I tore the paper and used chocolate corrugated cardboard for the mat to bring your eye forward in the layout.  I then used Beautiful Board Grid Elements Laser Cut Chipboard on the sides of the photo to provide a garden trellis effect. It also adds some nice texture to your photo surrounding. Then I tucked the Beautiful Board Wild Flower Gears around the sides of the photo. Playing off the slight shade of peach in the photo I decided to use Soft Peach Roses and also one of my very favorite colors Antique Linen Roses. The Antique Linen is such a versatile color and goes with everything. The flowers come with some extra pretty mulberry leaves to use so I layered them with the Beautiful Board Beautiful Bits-Skeleton Leaf Chipboard. I then decided, what would a gardening layout be without the pretty Printed Beautiful Board Small Tuck It In Sweet Daisy Chipboard. I then added the Beautiful Board Small Feathers Set of 3 around the layout. To finish off the layout I added Queen Bee Clock Charm from the trinkets in the store and the gorgeous Secret Garden Premium Paper Glitter Glass Butterflies. Of course I had to add a bit of bling to the layout so I went around the perimeter of the layout and sprinkled Gawdie Girl Diamond Chunky German Glitter Glass. This was a fun layout to create, fun colors to play with and I hope you enjoyed this. For your pleasure I do have a video tutorial below for your viewing. Wishing you a day filled with peace.

Easter Easel Cards for Reneabouquets

 Hi everyone, it's Toni here today and I'm here to share a couple of fun cards created for Easter. 

There are so many items in Reneabouquets store to take your spring projects over the top, from flowers, to lace, to trinkets and beads. I love creating dimensional art and my cards are no exception. Taking this Beautiful Board Faberge Eggs With Bead Holes provided such a pretty focal point on one of the cards. I embossed it in gold and then placed it on a piece of acetate to give the illusion of floating.  The addition of the Beautiful Beads Rose Gold Iridescent Pearls matched beautifully with the paper I chose for the card . 

Around the perimeter of the wreath I added pretty little Beautiful Beads Candy in Pale Pink. I then used the metal frame from the Mermaid Trinkets Pack to put my sentiment on the card. 

For my second card I decided to emboss in silver our Beautiful Board Word Happy Easter for my focal point. Also adhering it to acetate for a floating effect. 

The butterfly I chose to add to this card is the Lavender Fairy Dust Premium Paper Glitter Glass Butterfly. The flowers I added are the Purple Roses and Leaves and also the Plum Roses and Leaves. I also added some Beautiful Beads Candy in Lavender on the top of the embossed flowers. To finish off both card fronts, it's very subtle but adds just the perfect bit of sparkle I added Gawdie Girl Fine German Glass Glitter. It provides a soft sugary look to the cards without over doing it.

Valentines Easel Shaker Card With Envelope Box To Hold 3D Card

 Hi all, today I have for you a fun card created for Valentines along with an envelope box to hold your 3D card. 

I created an easel card to showcase Reneabouquets pretty Small Round Shaker Box. Inside I placed lots of yummy shaker goodies from the store, such as Beautiful Bits Tiny Hearts, Gold Chunky German Glass Glitter, Beautiful Beads Hearts Of Glass, Pale Pink Glass Microbeads, Pink Hand tinted Chunky Glitter Glass, & Ocean Hand tinted Chunky Glitter Glass.  

On top of the shaker box I used our NEW  Happy Valentines Chipboard Piece and I embossed it with gold embossing powder. Then our sweetest NEW little flowers were place around the frame of the shaker box. I used Itty Bitty Blossoms in Pink and White, Itty Bitty Blossoms in Pink, Itty Bitty Blossoms in Seafoam and Itty Bitty Blossoms in Seafoam  and White. I then added some Skeleton Leaves Chipboard around the florals. 

To assist in holding up the easel I used Romantic Heart Pattern and attached some pretty Beautiful Beads Candy Flatback Pearls in the color Pale Pink. 

For the closure on my envelope box I used the Beautiful Board Victorian Heart Doily and embossed it with gold EP and adorned it with the same flowers as listed above.

"Beautiful Dreamer" Mixed Media Layout for Reneabouquets

 Hello to you all and hoping your new year is getting off with a heart full of hope and peace. Today I have for you a winter mixed media layout featuring of course, beautiful items from Reneabouquets store. 

I started off my layout adding some pretty texture by using Crackle Texture Paste and then adding Reneabouquets Beautiful Board Large Brick Elements. Using Beautiful Board Large Shaker Box I created a window for this sweet little girl to look out upon the beautiful snow. Inside the shaker box I added Beautiful Beads Glass Moonstone, Gawdie Girl Diamond Chunky German Glitter Glass and also Beautiful Board Bits-Winter Snowflakes. At the top of the shaker box I embossed the Beautiful Board Large Holly Flourish. 

On the shudders I also embossed the Beautiful Board Large Pretty Ivy. The very large pretty snowflakes on the corners of the shaker box are Beautiful Board Large Vintage Snowflakes Set of 7 and I embossed them with Winter White EP. I did add in some of my assorted winter greens but the flowers I used from the store are Christmas Burgundy Poinsettias and Roses and Holly leaves. 

To finish off my layout I then added Beautiful Board Small April In Paris Adornment, of course some of my favorite Beautiful Board Beautiful Bits-Skeleton Leaf Laser Cut and Butterfly Disses Delicate Beauty Butterflies. Christmas Recipe Mini Album In A Box for Reneabouquets

Merry Christmas everyone, it's one of my favorite times of year and this year is especially important because of all we have been through in 2020. It's a blessing to remember what this season is all about and that is LOVE... we love because HE loved us first. Every year I make certain specific cookies for Christmas that are a family favorite.  I thought it would be fun to create a little mini album to hold these memorable recipes and give it to my daughter so she will always have the recipes of the cookies that filled her tummy during this time of year.  The box to hold them is a Graphic 45 ATC Book Box and I decorated it with some festive Christmas cardstock. 

 On the outside of the box I used the Beautiful Board Small April In Paris Adornment Pattern and I embossed it with brass embossing powder. I then used Christmas Burgundy Mulberry Poinsettias, Roses & Holly Leaves Flower Set for that festive look. Some Christmas greenery and tiny brass bells from my stash. I also used the Graphic 45 claw feet to rest the box upon. 

To embellish the front of the mini album I created I used one of my favoite items from Reneabouquets store which is Small Square Shaker Box DIY Kit Laser Cut Chipboard. These are so much fun to create with and have endless possibilities on what you can do with them. Inside I filled it with Beautiful Board Large First Snow Snowflakes and a mixture of Gold Fine German Glitter Glass, No Hole Glass Microbeads in Silver, No Hole Glass Microbeads in Black, and mica flakes from my stash. 

I also hung a charm I created off the side of the album, and this included Reneabouquets Tea Time Trinkets which were painted with black gesso and then white gold Finnabair wax was rubbed on top to give it a brass finish. 

The inside of the mini album was created with pockets to hold your recipe cards and decorated with an assortment of Beautiful Board Special Edition Homemade Christmas Cookies which were painted and then sprinkled with fine clear glitter for a sugary look. A Metal Clip Bookmark With Cabochon from the store was clipped on to a page for some added fun.

Mixed Media Autumn Layout

 Happy Thursday everyone. I'm up on the blog today with a new mixed media layout featuring several fall items from Reneabouquets store. 

As many of you know, I love to create my layouts with lots of layers. This gives me the ability to tuck in  flowers, beautiful board, ephemera etc. I started by creating the background dimensional adding my papers on cardboard to give it height. I started by adding some Ivory Wide Floral Embroidered Lace which always provides a sweet vintage feel. Then I prepped my different beautiful board pieces. Some I painted white which would be Beautiful Board Ornate Leaves Tuck Ins , I then embossed with brass embossing powder the Beautiful Board Fancy Fall Tuck Ins , and some I distressed with Oxide Distress Inks which would be Beautiful Board Large Fancy Fall Corners 

The Beautiful Board Large Pumpkin Patch Set I painted white and then the background paper I covered it with Gawdie Girl Chunky Glitter Glass in Buttercream and Gawdie Girl Chunky Glitter Glass in Diamond 

The flowers I then chose to use are the Soft Peach Roses & Leaves, as well as Mini Soft Peach Mulberry Roses & Leaves. I then used Honey Roses & Leaves. Reneabouquets has some wonderfully unique trinkets in the store to use as well and I used Tarnished Brass Pocket Watch and I cut an image to put inside and then the glass part is actually a large floral stone I got a bag of these at the Dollar Store. I completed the layout by adding a couple of Reneabouquets precious handmade butterflies and the ones I used are Sweet Dreams Premium Paper Butterflies in Buttercream

Steampunk 4D Purse With Rotating Gears

Hi everyone, Toni here with a new project for Reneabouquets Design Team. I'm using our fun Beautiful Board 4D Purse Do It Yourself Laser Cut Chipboard Kit . This kit is so easy to create and so much fun. I'm a huge fan of steampunk and I wanted it to hold all my steampunk tags I create to put on cards. 

The gears on the front actually rotate freely for a fun effect. These gears are Beautiful Board Shooting Star Gears With Bead Holes Chipboard  and Beautiful Board Star Zazzies with Bead Holes Chipboard. I started by first staining my purse and gears with Waverly Wax "Antique". The paper collection I used is from Stamperia "Clockwork". 

I added gold flat back pearls to the pattern on the paper to give the illusion that this is quilted. What would steampunk be without charms hung from a chain. I took  Beautiful Board Shooting Star Gears With Bead Holes Chipboard, Beautiful Board Clockwork Keys Laser Cut Chipboard Key Set of 3 and Beautiful Board Love Locks & Keys Laser Cut Chipboard, then embossed with brass embossing powder. I then attached pearls, beads, brass charms from my stash. Also created a charm from one of Reneabouquets precious Mini Old Gold Mulberry Paper Roses and Leaves Set.   Tucked inside the flowers I attached some Ivory Wide Floral Embroidered Lace as well. 

To adorn the front of the purse the flowers I used are: Mini Dusty Teal Mulberry Paper Roses & Leaves Set, Itty Bitty Blossoms and Leaves Navy Blue Mulberry Paper Flowers, Navy Blue Roses and Leaves Mulberry Paper Flowers, Seafoam & White Roses and Leaves Mulberry Paper Flowers and Mini Old Gold Mulberry Paper Roses and Leaves Set.  The little brass embossed leaves you see with the flowers is part of Beautiful Board Fancy Fall Tuck Ins Set of 23 Laser Cut Chipboard. 

And to complete this project I had to use one of Renea's one of a kind handmade butterflies. I used Secret Garden Premium Paper Glitter Glass Butterflies.
