Enjoy The Ride Journal Page

Happy Halloween all, today I have a journal page for Art Anthology and it's inspired by this month's moodboard.

Mixed media can sometimes be intimidating to some and I hope this post encourages you "Don't be afraid of mixed media ... Enjoy the Ride".
I find my art journal is a perfect place to play and experiment with new techniques. Allows me to make notes on my page of what works and what I'm not too fond of.
This page I wanted to try Seth Aptners Baked Enamel on wet texture paste and I really like the results.
I also wanted to see if Art Anthology's Sorbet-Glass paint could possibly be used as an adhesive for foiling and gilding flakes and it also worked nicely. Left my chipboard and nice high gloss with randomly areas of foil... Very organic.... Get yourself an art journal... or just gather some mixed media paper, watercolor paper or even cardstock and start playing..... but most of all "Enjoy that Ride" !

Altered Gift Boxes for ReneaBouquets Guest Design Team

What a fun time I have had as guest designer for ReneaBouquets this month. Having the opportunity to work with the gorgeous products from their store has been such a treat. Today I have my last guest design team project for this month and it's some cute little boxes I altered to put gifts in for some friends.
I purchased these little boxes at Michaels for $1.50 I believe and they are the perfect size to put a special little something in for a gift. With Christmas right around the corner I new I needed to grab a few of these and alter.
I started off first by coloring each box with a different DI ink and then went to town on embellishing each one differently with ReneaBouquet Beautiful Boards and flowers.
Each flower was dipped in melted UTEE to give a pretty glass-like appearance.

A list of supplied used from ReneaBouquets is listed in my video below. I hope you take a moment and drop by the store, you will be amazed at her products. Wishing you days of creative bliss !

Halloween Wreath/Guest Design Team Project for ReneaBouquets

Hi everyone, today I have a Guest Design Team Project I created featuring ReneaBouquets items.
It's Halloween here in the USA and I have refurbished an old spring wreath that was headed for the trash. Spray painted it black here and there and then decorated it with some gorgeous ReneaBouquets  items from their store.
ReneaBouquets's Beautiful Board takes paints, sprays and embossing beautifully. The flowers are exquisite and really need no altering.
This BB Haunted House and Gothic Border where given some texture a bit and then the house was backed by alcohol inked acetate for the windows.
The cobweb clock was embossed with black and gold UTEE for a shiny surface. The black doily lace was touched with a bit of Art Alchemy Wax for a subtle glimmer.
These Ivy Leaves were also embossed with black UTEE and the roses just added that pop of color to the image and frame where needed.

Hope you enjoyed this post and for your pleasure I have included a process video below. Be sure to drop by ReneaBouquets store to see her gorgeous items.

Shaker Canvas for ReneaBouquets Canvas Swap

Hi everyone, Toni here with a new project for ReneaBouquets canvas swap.
ReneaBouquets has so many fun embellishments, lace, butterflies etc. to create with and I wasn't really sure what to start with so I just went with it. My partner had told me she enjoys  shaker creations so I wanted to include this on her canvas.
The shaker is filled with shard glitter glass, glass microbeads and tiny beautiful bit hearts from ReneaBouquets store.  My muse for this first of all is the fall textures and colors that surround me at this time of year which I adore.
The Beautiful Board here used is Quilling and it takes paints and spray awesome ! These mulberry flowers are the Honey Curly Roses and there are so many more flowers to choose from in the store.
Hope you were inspired and that you will drop by ReneaBouquets to take a look at all the spectacular goodies ! Wishing you a month full of creativity ! xoxo Toni

Apothecary of Creativity

Happy spooky month everyone, I have a DT project for Art Anthology and also a process video for you to enjoy. I decided to recycle some empty paint containers into a Halloween decoration to set on my table.
The outside of the container was textured with Rust and Patine Paste Set from Art Anthology ,  The paper used inside the container was from an old Recollections Halloween collection (I'm sorry I don't know the name of it.) Assorted Ideology Boneyard, Skulls, Typography & Word Bands were used.
A fun technique you can try with adding texture from stencils on this rounded containers, you can view the process in my video below. Art Alchemy Waxes were added for a bit of shimmer.
A bit of embossing was also done here and there with Seth Aptner's Patina Baked Enamel. Hope you enjoyed and try giving some of those empty bottles a facelift !

ReneaBouquets Guest Design Team 12x12 Layout

Hi everyone, so excited to share with you my first guest design team for ReneaBouquets. If you haven't stopped by the store, please do HERE... lots of wonderful goodies.
I started with Blue Fern Apricot and Amber paper as my back drop and of course added some mixed media using stencil, texture paste and mica paints.

ReneaBouquets has these beautiful butterflies and dragonflies that are handmade and ever so lightly kissed with glitters.
I used several different flower bouquets from her store  and I have listed all them below.
Now I am a huge lover of chipboard because I just love the dimension it adds to your projects, well ReneaBouquets offers their version of chipboard which is called Beautiful Board. It is much thicker than standard chipboard and holds mediums wonderfully.
Wishing you a month filled with creativity and for your enjoyment I have also include a video of my creative process. On the video it shows all the web links to all products for ReneaBouquets that I used. Thank you for stopping by .... xoxo

Vintage Jack - O - Lantern

Happy October all, I have a new DT project for Art Anthology and it is a fun decor piece to put out for Halloween.
I started with a paper mache cone and ball and covered it beginning with T!m's 2018 Halloween paper stash and then did some collaging with coffee stained tissue paper that was also stenciled with AA's Sorbet in Imperial.
Mud Paste and Terracotta from Rust Set was applied to the head for some wonderful textures. The fringe was made dying some crepe paper.
For your pleasure I have included a video below so you can sit back and enjoy my creative process. Wishing you a spook-tacular month and happy creating !
