Apothecary of Creativity

Happy spooky month everyone, I have a DT project for Art Anthology and also a process video for you to enjoy. I decided to recycle some empty paint containers into a Halloween decoration to set on my table.
The outside of the container was textured with Rust and Patine Paste Set from Art Anthology ,  The paper used inside the container was from an old Recollections Halloween collection (I'm sorry I don't know the name of it.) Assorted Ideology Boneyard, Skulls, Typography & Word Bands were used.
A fun technique you can try with adding texture from stencils on this rounded containers, you can view the process in my video below. Art Alchemy Waxes were added for a bit of shimmer.
A bit of embossing was also done here and there with Seth Aptner's Patina Baked Enamel. Hope you enjoyed and try giving some of those empty bottles a facelift !

ReneaBouquets Guest Design Team 12x12 Layout

Hi everyone, so excited to share with you my first guest design team for ReneaBouquets. If you haven't stopped by the store, please do HERE... lots of wonderful goodies.
I started with Blue Fern Apricot and Amber paper as my back drop and of course added some mixed media using stencil, texture paste and mica paints.

ReneaBouquets has these beautiful butterflies and dragonflies that are handmade and ever so lightly kissed with glitters.
I used several different flower bouquets from her store  and I have listed all them below.
Now I am a huge lover of chipboard because I just love the dimension it adds to your projects, well ReneaBouquets offers their version of chipboard which is called Beautiful Board. It is much thicker than standard chipboard and holds mediums wonderfully.
Wishing you a month filled with creativity and for your enjoyment I have also include a video of my creative process. On the video it shows all the web links to all products for ReneaBouquets that I used. Thank you for stopping by .... xoxo

Vintage Jack - O - Lantern

Happy October all, I have a new DT project for Art Anthology and it is a fun decor piece to put out for Halloween.
I started with a paper mache cone and ball and covered it beginning with T!m's 2018 Halloween paper stash and then did some collaging with coffee stained tissue paper that was also stenciled with AA's Sorbet in Imperial.
Mud Paste and Terracotta from Rust Set was applied to the head for some wonderful textures. The fringe was made dying some crepe paper.
For your pleasure I have included a video below so you can sit back and enjoy my creative process. Wishing you a spook-tacular month and happy creating !

Steampunk Hat Gift Box

Happy Monday everyone, today I have a project inspired by Art Anthology's mood board for September.
I decided to make a gift box to hold a present for a friend that loves steampunk. I started by altering a papermache box and lid for the top of the hat.
Art Anthology paints were added to 3D Texture Fade Mechanicals to start the foundation of the hat box. Hot glue was added around the brim and seams of the hat to mimic rivets.
Art Anthology's Coloration Sprays were used to color the flowers then steampunk metal embellishments as well as feathers were added to finish off the project.
This was a very easy project and hope you enjoyed. For your pleasure I have included a YOUTUBE video of my creative process. Thank you for stopping by and have a beautiful day !

Mixed Media Acetate Tag

Hi everyone, today I have a new mixed media project for you on an acetate tag.  Inspired by Art Anthology's Moodboard this month (above).
I was so excited to create with these beautiful autumn colors. A combination of sprays and paints as well as stamped images and stenciling.
Seed beads, mica flakes, lace, moss and rusty items helped add that special touch to the tag.
For your pleasure I have included a YOUTUBE video to sit back and watch my creative process. I hope you enjoy and were inspired !  xoxo Toni

Steampunk Wooden Case To Hold Embellishments

I love having fun containers to house my art goodies and I really needed a new case for my steampunk trinkets. I found this box on clearance for $5.00 and thought it would be perfect for all my goodies.
The top is glass so on the underside I added alcohol inks and then random steampunk stamps were applied. The "Mister" image is actually underneath the glass, so I used alcohol blending solution to move the inks around so the image would show through.
The inside I left completely alone and filled with wonderfulness for my next projects !
The Steampunk title was burnt into the wood using Walnut Hollow wood burning kit.

Frame was painted black and then enhance with Art Alchemy Waxes.  I have a video for your viewing pleasure. Hope you take a moment to view. I am new with YOUTUBE so would love for you to subscribe to my channel if you have enjoyed this video. Thank you for stopping by.

Create Your Own Paradise-Journal Page

Hi everyone, I am here with a journal page today inspired by Art Anthology's pretty mood bard this month.
Using a combination of Mud Paste run through a stencil and also Sizzix 3D embossing folder to add texture to cardstock that I collaged on the page, provided the foundation for my journal page.
I used several Art Anthology products including, Velvets, Sorbets and Colorations.

With the use of charcoal pencil and Distress Crayons, it provided that grungy look I love.
I hope you enjoyed and for your pleasure have included a YOUTUBE video of my creative process. I am very new at YouTube and would love for you to drop by my website and Subscribe HERE Thank you for stopping by. xoxo Toni

Mixed Media ATC With Galaxy Background

Hi everyone, Toni here with a fun new technique to use your Art Anthology Coloration sprays with. I am involved in Renea Bouquet Fabulous Fairy ATC Swap and decided to make an interactive ATC for my swap partner.
The background on the ATC's was super fun and easy using sprays this time, I have in the past always used distress inks but AA sprays worked beautifully for this effect.

The stars on the background were achieved by embossing with Stardust EP which gave them a twinkling effect.
These tiny little Beautiful Board chipboard pieces were perfect for my ATC's. You can purchase them HERE at Renea Bouquet store.
The products I used by Art Anthology can be purchased HERE at there store. Hope you were inspired by a new technique and for your pleasure I have included a YouTube below. Have a wonderful day and get creative !

"Live In The Moment" Mixed Media Canvas

Hi everyone... hope you all are having a nice August month and trying to stay cool. Here in California it's been unbearable in triple digits. When I saw this months Art Anthology mood board I fell in love because it brought a coolness to me and was super excited to create with it.

For my Art Anthology design team project I purchased an inexpensive frame from the dollar store and wanted to alter it. I began by adding texture using Mud Texture Paste and art stones mixed together. Then the colors I used to play with were AA's Colorations in Siesta Key and Patience.

Painted and embossed using Seth Aptner's Baked Enamels on my chipboard pieces and some pretty flowers enhanced with seed beads and mini sequins add that bit of glam that I love.

T!m's paper dolls and quote chips always lend for some fun and interest and they completed my frame perfectly I believe. I hope you were inspired and enjoyed this project. For your pleasure I have included a YOUTUBE to watch my process. I am brand new to YOUTUBE so I would love for you to SUBSCRIBE to my channel  HERE ! Christmas In July Part II

Hi everyone, Toni here with some more Christmas cards. Trying to get ahead of my holiday crafting projects and I made a few more cards I would love to share with you.

I had so much fun utilizing many of T!m's goodies and I hope you enjoy the cards.

The first cards I used the Sizzlets Mini Snowflake Rosette and also the regular size Snowflake Rosette. Distressed the edges with Frayed Burlap Distress Ink and Glossy Accents sprinkled with Diamond Dust provided the glisten to the card.
Titles on all 3 of my cards were cut out using T!ms Thinlits Holiday Greetings.
The next card I used the 3D Embossing Folder Lumber and distressed with Gathered Twigs. I cut out Sizzix Layered Holiday Wreath 3 times in different colored green cardstock and layed on top of each other for thickness.

Cut two sets of the bows in order to layer out of red velvet cardstock. Applied Diamond Dust with Glossy Accents for some shine. Used Stickles in Rhubard for holly berries.

The last card I used the Sizzix Window die cut and cut out chipboard then white cardstock in order to make it 3D. The mat behind the window was used with Kraft cardstock and run through Lumber 3D embossing folder. I then cut out several of Thinlits Holiday Mini Greens in order to create a layered effect. Added Nuvo Drops in Berry Red for the holly. My homemade snow was created by mixing baking soda, glue, white paint and applied to the base of the window and on the greenery. While wet I sprinkled Diamond Dust.
Hoping you enjoyed this little bit of Christmas In July and that it inspires you to get a head start on your Christmas cards. Happy Creating xoxo Toni
